Watchmen definitely doesn't deserve some of the harsher criticism it's received - well, it does deserve SOME - but, on the flip side, it definitely doesn't deserve the level of unquestioning and uncritical nerd love that's been angrily stomping around the internet lately, daring commentators to say otherwise.

I still have to check it out! I want to ... but i almost want to wait for Blu-Ray as I heard it was set to be over 3 hours and had to be cut for theatrical release. Looks excellent.. i read about the modification.. but i realize that has to happen sometimes.. unfortunate, but a reality. It has happened to some of my favorite stories made into movies.
